North Carolina Schnauzer Rescue, Inc. (NCSR) is a non-profit, all-volunteer group of dedicated members who work in North Carolina to rescue, rehabilitate and find permanent adoptive homes for pure-bred miniature schnauzers in need. We also strive to educate the public on schnauzer and other dog issues, support spay/neuter for all family pets in order to reduce the pet overpopulation problem we have today, and would love to someday eliminate the need for rescue!

Would you like to be a FOSTER home for a rescued schnauzer or become more involved in rescue? If so, please download, complete, and mail in a MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION—there are MANY needs, many dogs that need help, and never enough humans to do the work!
If you are a North Carolina resident and would like to apply to adopt one of our rescues, you may download the ADOPTION APPLICATION (click this link) Please read our website pages (links on the left side menu) thoroughly before emailing or mailing in your application.
We are continually fundraising in order to build up enough money to rescue dogs that are in need from local shelters where they might otherwise be neglected or put to sleep. Vet bills run very high for many dogs (sometimes $1,000 or more) and our adoption donation fees requested are only $200-$300 so we never recoup all our costs. We can also use supplies, food, and other necessities for the rescue –you can help by getting us things from our DONATIONS WISH LIST.
